We are a coalition of over 50 organizations who are fighting the climate crisis and are calling on our state legislators to take immediate action to address climate change by passing Senate Bill 21-200 in the 2021 state legislative session. If this past year has shown us anything, it’s that we need our leaders to protect and invest in our public health and environment.

We are in a critical window of opportunity to act on climate change before it’s too late. We need your help to encourage legislators to make climate change a priority and support this bill.

Colorado Senate Bill 21-200, called “Reduce Greenhouse Gases Increase Environmental Justice” will ensure that Colorado hits the climate goals in Governor Polis’ climate roadmap, which established a goal to cut carbon pollution in half by 2030 and provides an important framework for how Colorado can meet that goal. Despite urgent crisis and recent action, Colorado is not on track to meet our climate targets. Fortunately, Governor Polis has released a plan to tackle climate change. Now state legislators must pass this bill to ensure the state hits our climate targets in an equitable manner.
